Headlining Strip Clips

This set of plastic clip and rubber mounting grommets has been designed to replace the original VW clips used on the Transporter T4 and T5 headlining strips. The strip of plastic that runs between the cab and loading area has a plastic strip that runs the width of the vehicle. This strip is held in by black plastic clips but if the roof lining is insulated or re-carpeted, the original clips are not long enough. This set of longer clips is perfect for thicker headlinings. The plastic clip is longer and the rubber insert ensures a secure fit without rattles.
We can supply you with a longer joining strip fixing clip. These have correct dimensions to fit the VW Transporter strip and the roof panel holes. This should allow for trimmed panels and trimmed strips.
Please note once these are fitted they may be damaged if removed this equally applies to the standard genuine clip.
The genuine clip looks like a square section with a peg, and a black grommet type part in the roof, you slide the peg along the trim strip. You must remove the old part from the roof panel by sliding it to the end of the channel. Replace the black pegs with the new white clips. Fit the black rubber part to the roof and push the white clip into the rubber grommet to fit.
